Congratulations to Saskatoon’s Fred Phillips for winning the 2018 Tennis Canada Rookie Official of the Year Award. In 2018, he worked as an official at both the Rogers Cup and a Toronto Davis Cup tie. He also officiated at Challenger-level events in Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Calgary, and Futures-level events in Saskatoon and Calgary. Fred was presented the award on-court at the Rogers Cup in Montreal in August.

Tennis Saskatchewan congratulates Fred on this award and thanks him for his excellent work as an official both across the country and in our own provincial tournaments. We wish Fred all the best as he continues to work as an official in 2019.
