Louis Cayer TDC Re-Grouping Camp: November 17, 2004

Tennis Canada Head National Coach Louis Cayer rolled into Saskatoon, November 17, 2004 as part of his cross-country tour of Tennis Development Centres (TDCs). Louis, who visits Canada’s top 18 TDCs a few times per year came to town to see Regina’s SASK FIRST program which finished among the top 18 programs in 2003 – 2004 as well as Lakewood Indoor Tennis Academy.

Louis, worked with 16 of the provinces top juniors emphasizing doubles tactics and proper warm up habits. In addition, to Louis’ masterful coaching techniques, Bruce Craven from the Saskatchewan Sports Medicine and Science Council conducted a bio-mechanical analysis of the provinces players.

Louis Cayer commented at the end of the camp that Saskatchewan was Canada’s most improved province. Special Thanks goes to Leo Liendo, Paul Nowak, Danny Da Costa and the Lakewood Indoor Tennis Centre for making Louis’ stay enjoyable.
