Bill Ebbels Provincial Open: July 2 – 4, 2004
University of Minnesota standout Avery Ticer from Amarillo Texas captured the Bill Ebbels Provincial Open held at the Lakeshore Tennis Club from July 2 – 4, 2004. Ticer defeated the #17 ranked player in Canada Doug Devriendt of Winnipeg, Manitoba 6-3, 6-2 in the final. Filip Palasz of Regina, SK was a semi finalist losing to Ticer 6-1, 7-6 in the semi’s. In other events Hyun Kiel of Regina defeated fellow Regina player Adam Van der Merwe 7-6, 7-5 in the 5.0 and below singles final. Anna Nelke captured the Women’s 5.0 and below title defeating fellow junior player Katherine Melnychuk 6-4, 6-1.
