REGINA SASK FIRST program achieve Tennis Canada designation ‘Bronze’ TDC for 2003 -04
The Regina SASK FIRST junior program based out of the Lakeshore Tennis Club & Regina Sportsplex Fieldhouse has received the designation of ‘Bronze’ Tennis Development Centre (TDC) for 2003 – 2004. Bronze status means that the Regina TDC is ranked among the top 20 junior programs in the country. Among the highlights of the Regina TDC was its perfect score for program planning / management as well as for community links.
The Lakewood Indoor Tennis Club narrowly missed becoming the province’s second Bronze TDC. However, it also received the designation of ‘Basic’ Tennis Development Centre (TDC) for 2003 – 2004. Both facilities are eligible now to receive support from Tennis Canada including visits from Louis Cayer, mailings and financial grants.
There are over 50 High performance Tennis Development Centres in Canada. Congratulations to Regina TDC leader Danny Da Costa & Saskatoon TDC leader Leo Liendo for achieving the provinces first two High Performance Tennis Development Centres in Sasktchewan.
