Tournament participants must register on-line using the VR Tournament Planner – Tennis Canada’s tournament management system.  Cost of an annual Tennis Saskatchewan membership is $15.00 per player (non Saskatchewan players / members must purchase memberships through their applicable provincial / territorial tennis association).  New memberships / renewals are available on-line by clicking here

  • This tournament is sanctioned by Tennis Saskatchewan.
  • Saskatchewan players are required a have an active Tennis Saskatchewan Tournament Membership. Players from outside of Saskatchewan must have an active Tournament Membership from their province / territory.
  • All Coaches, Parents, Players, Officials, Spectators, etc. must abide by the restrictions / protocols of the Host Club / Facility.   
  • Men’s and Women’s / Singles, Doubles, Mixed / Open, 4.0 & Below, 3.0 & Below.
  • Female players must enter their first event in a female event; a mixed doubles event will be considered a female event. (If a female enters only one event, the event must be a female event; the second event may be a male event).
  • Entry Limit: 2 events:  Players are limited to 1 singles event. Players may play 2 doubles events.  Players entering 2 events will be expected to play more than 3 matches per day.
  • The Tennis Saskatchewan Tournament Committee reserves the right to restrict players from entering into events they are too strong for or too weak for (as determined by Tennis Canada rating and/or recent tournament results). Example:  A player with a solid 4.0 rating will be considered ineligible to enter a 3.0 event.
  • Entry Fees: $50.00 1st event, $30.00 2nd event … The Tournament Director reserves the right to cancel events or combine events due to insufficient entries (i.e. events may be combined)
  • Entry Deadline:  Monday, March 31 – 11:59 p.m.
  • Draw Times Available:  Wednesday, April 2 after 6:00 p.m. Draws will be available on-line or by phoning 306-955-2226.
  • Play Will Begin:  Friday, April 4 – 5:00 P.M. All players must be available to play at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and must be prepared to play all days of the tournament.
  • Draw Sizes:  Draws may be limited to 24 players per event (subject to change based on overall entries and court availability).
  • Late entries may be accepted provided the draw has not been completed.  Late entries that are accepted will be subject to a $20.00 late registration fee.
  • Players who withdraw from the tournament before the entry deadline will receive a refund of 50% of their entry fees.
  • Players who withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline will be defaulted from the tournament and will not receive a refund of their entry fees.
  • Main draw matches will be best of three sets with the 3rd set being a 10 point deciding match tie-break.  Consolation events will be held, subject to court availability.  The Tournament Director reserves the right to revert to an alternate method of scoring for both main draw and consolation draw matches.
  • The 15-minute default and 5-minute warm-up rules will be enforced.

  • Tennis Canada disciplinary procedures will be enforced.  The rule book “Rules of the Court” sets out the rules, regulations, and format to be followed in Sanctioned Tournaments.  All Sanctioned Tournaments will be carried out according to these regulations.
  • Proper tennis attire is required during matches.
  • Matches will be played on a “to-follow basis”.
  • Wilson US Open tennis balls will be used.
