Regina’s Keegan Rice continued his winning ways by winning the J2 ITF Junior Tournament recently held at the Stade IGA in Montreal.

In the first round, unseeded Rice defeated No. 3-seed Hoyoung Roh of Korea (6-3, 6-2). In second round action, Rice defeated wild card Stephane Pierre-Jo Kamendje (6-4, 6-3). In the third round, Rice defeated fellow Canadian Denny Bao by a score of 6-3, 6-2. In semi-final action, Rice defeated Newfoundland and Labrador’s Liam Drover-Mattinen in a tough three-set match (5-7, 6-3, 6-3).

Rice capped off his incredible run by defeating No. 8-seed Roy Horovitz (USA) 6-3, 6-2 in the championship match.

Rice has had a sensational outdoor season, winning 3 ITFs and the Under-18 Fischer Junior Nationals!
