Tennis Saskatchewan is the Provincial Sport Governing Body responsible for the promotion and development of tennis throughout the Province. Applications for seasonal full-time (May to August – 37.5 hours / week) Rogers First Set – Community Development Coordinator will be accepted up to and including May 10, 2026.  The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, as evening, early morning, and weekend work will be involved. 

Qualifications:

  • NCCP Tennis Instructor Certification (may consider candidates enrolled in the Spring 2026 Tennis Instructor course).
  • Familiarity with the organization of tennis in Saskatchewan. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills. 
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment in leadership, mentoring or support roles. 
  • Ability to function at a high level with multiple competing priorities and deadlines. 
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. 
  • Clean Police Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Verification.
  • Abide by all Safe Sport policies and procedures.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Lead, facilitate, and work with all partners to deliver learn to play programs (pathway programs – try, learn-play, play-compete – children, youth, and adults) at the school, community, and club level.  Rogers First Set (planning and implementation) (Rogers First Set Tour – Rookie, Rogers First Set Tour – Rising Stars, Tennis in Schools, Canada Tennis Month, Community Tennis League Development, Game. Set. Equity – Girls in Tennis)

Rogers First Set is designed to inspire youth and families in communities across Canada to try tennis and learn fundamental tennis skills in a fun, welcoming, safe and positive environment. The long-term goal of Rogers First Set is to grow participation in tennis in Saskatchewan and Canada exponentially over the next five years.  

  • Work with other Saskatchewan based tennis organizations / agencies in the coordination and delivery of programs and services. 
  • Sanctioned Tournament Administration.  Help plan, coordinate, manage recreational and competitive tournaments as required (Rookie tour, U9 / U10 Rising Stars orange and green ball, and competitive tournaments).
  • NCCP Coaching and Officials Development administration.
  • Complete all monitoring, evaluations, and reports as required.

Salary will commensurate with education, qualifications, and experience.
