Regina’s Isabella Yan has returned home after excelling in both the Under 12 and Under 14 Fischer Junior Indoor Nationals. The U12 event took place March 25 -April 1 in Calgary, Alberta and the U14 14 tournament was hosted in Vancouver April 3-9.
In U12 singles, Yan made it all the way to the final and finished in second place. Regina’s Ethan Guo also had his best result ever, finishing in 6th place. Saskatchewan was also represented by first time participants Anna Klemmer, Ezekiel Cheruvallath, and Kaiden Gui. Great job everyone!
Fischer U12 Junior Indoor Cup Draws and Results
At U14 nationals, Saskatchewan was represented by Arya Guha and Yan. In the Under-16 Indoor Nationals, Guha and Michael Liu represented Saskatchewan. At Under-18 Indoor Nationals, Liu, along with Teah Chavez, represented the province.
