Regina’s Kirtan Patel won the boys singles event at the 2022 International Tennis Federation (ITF) – J4 38th Canadian Junior Championships. The Championships recently took place in Burlington, Ontario. No. 4-seed Patel battled through five matches, defeating the #1 and #2 seeds along the way to the championship. In the semi-final, Patel defeated No. 2 Stefan Simeunovic (Ontario) 7-5, 3-6, 6-1. In the final, Patel continued his championship run by defeating the top-ranked Junghee You (Quebec) 6-1, 7-6(4).
